Spring ’09 Trend: Bold Colour!

Soon this winter-y weather will all be forgotten and we’ll be skipping on sidewalks in our new strappy spring heels. Here’s the palette for this spring/summer:

That’s right: colours for this spring/summer are intense! If you’re doubting that you can pull off a lime-green dress, then accessorize wildly with footwear and handbags. They’re following the colour trend and are an easy way to add some zing to your look.

Shoe/sandal trends for spring 09:

• Gladiators are here for another spring/summer- in flats or heeled sandals in gold or silver
• Lifesaver candy colours are everywhere- pick your faves and mix & match
• Show some skin: snake skin, that is
• Wedges and chunky heels over stilettos
• Forget subdued: details include large bows, feathers, stones, mirrors (and whatever you can glue on at home)

Handbags/clutches for spring 09:

• For large bags, the look is relaxed slouchy
• Detailing accents glam up the look with knots and shiny bits
• Understated hard clam shell clutches keep things tidy
