LG Fashion Week in Toronto: "Show Love"

LG Fashion Week in Toronto: "Show Love"

It’s fashion week in Toronto and Fashion in Motion will be there to see all the shows, meet the designers, and get the inside scoop on the collections of the final 3 designers from Project Runway Canada!

I will be volunteering for the Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC) who organizes Toronto fashion week and I will blog here every day about the shows and events happening this week. I’m also going to try to get some great insider photos and videos to post on this blog and I will write about my experience as a volunteer with an all-access pass!

TODAY’S SCHEDULE:

4pm- I am meeting my group leader onsite at Nathan Philips Square for a walk-through before meeting the international media guests that I will be assisting during the week.

5:30pm- Holt Renfrew Media Cocktail Party (location: Holt Renfrew, Bloor Street.) Hm.. I wonder if my all-access volunteer pass will give me access-? Probably not.

7pm- Barbie Cocktail Party (location: LG tent.) (More parties already?!)

8pm- David Dixon collection runway show.

8:30pm- Barbie Show by David Dixon.

9pm- Barbie After Party (location: LG tent.)

This year, Toronto fashion week is celebrating its 10th anniversary, making it an exciting showing for Canadian and foreign designers sending their collections down the runway under the tent at Nathan Philips Square.

Designers showing this week include long-time presenters Andy The-Anh, Comrags, and household favourite Joseph Mimran for Joe Fresh. Some of the much-anticipated shows include the work by Project Runway Canada season one designers Evan Biddel, Carlie Wong, and Lucian Matis, as well as this year’s still competing top three finalists.

It’s going to be a fabulous week! I will keep you posted on the good, the bad, and fugly. Stay tuned!
