On the Wings of Love: The Final Rose! Finally!
Well, the final showdown. The end of it all, well, at least for one of them. Melodrama exploded onto the small screen last night as Jake narrowed it down to one lady. Cheese was so strong I could almost smell it.
It started when both ladies were taken to meet Jake’s family. Sometimes I just want to hit myself over the head that this show actually exists — that a man can sit across from his parents and say that he doesn’t know who he is in love with or that he is in love with two women — who would want to wait around for that? (but he does admit that ”one woman has his heart a little bit more than the other”..barf)
If the guy doesn’t want me and only me…I’m outta there. Then, of course, I actually did hit myself over the head when the first of the two to meet his family was Tenley. Of course we were going to hear the baby talk and the baby voice as she tells his family about…ready? Her ex-husband!!!
Vienna, unlike Tenley, is not welcomed so easily into the family. Awkward was more like it. Vienna came off as abrupt and immature, which she is. But, miraculously less than 10 minutes later she was embraced by his family and they were able to see the errors of their ways and understand what a truly amazing girl Jake sees in Vienna..blak!
But my gosh!! I want to go on this show just for the mere fact that I get to wake up looking over an ocean, sipping coffee in my bikini (um…full-piece, but in my TV fantasy I wear a bikini) by the pool — I pretty much wouldn’t care about Jake. But, unfortunately, these women do. Good thing they look good doing it.
And the winner is???
Vienna!! Did you know? Could you guess it?? Usually the first one out of the car (or, in this case, helicopter) is the one out, and then when he starts to cry — you know, you just know. But, all I can say is that you were told, Tenley. You were told. But, she made a good point — he will realize his mistake. He will — especially when he has to spend a week with Vienna without cameras – I have a feeling she might be a bit of a spoiled brat and might get into trouble when he’s off flying planes.
And how do we end? Why how we began of course …. On the Wings of Love!!!! Cheese is in!!!!
If you managed to hold it down long enough to watch the After the Rose Ceremony, you’ll be glad to have seen the actual Jeffrey Osborne perform.. oh if only Celine could have been there…it would have been truly cheese perfect.
Tune in next week for the wedding of the year! Jason and Molly — blak, barf and I’m tuning in! (Hey, winter is officially over on March 21st and I still have nothing to do on Mondays).
P.S. I was right — Ali is the next Bachelorette.

I didn’t get to watch the whole thing…managed to only catch the last 15 minutes. I’m only slightly surprised at Jake’s choice. It was sort of predictable that he would choose the “hated one”. Maybe she’s not even that annoying in real life – they always talk about how “the editing” changes one’s image. Jason still annoys me…I doubt I’ll make time to watch this wedding of the year. I will look forward to your recap though!
Yeah I think Jake isn’t all that great of a grab. He seems like a bit of a regular guy and I’m not sure what his personality really is- even after watching all the shows.
I think he seems like a nice enough guy but how can he go through this process and just a few hours before making a marriage proposal express confusion that he still doesn’t know which lady he should pick? Is that true or just for the show’s production’s sake? Would he prefer to continue to live in the Bachelor’s harem world of ladies in itsy-bitsy bikinis all day? Seems like he wishes he didn’t have to give up either.
Anyway, maybe he’s not such a great catch and maybe him and Vienna will be happy happy happy. I certainly wish it on them- she’s been trashed enough in the mags, undeservedly I feel.
