Running in Skirts

September 27, 2010

I finished my first half-marathon this weekend (Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront). I can barely believe it!

I couldn’t (and wouldn’t) have done it without my Running Skirt! For this run I opted for a capri skirt (below).

I’ve been wearing Running Skirts for a couple of years now because they are the most comfortable (and I think flattering) things to run in. Who wants shorts when you can wear one of these cute skirts?

The skirts have either athletic shorts or briefs built in and they come in a wide assortment of colours. (Personally, I prefer the skirts with the built-in briefs.) Also available are capri skirts and sub-zero skirts for cold-weather running.

Running Skirts has a nice line of coordinating tops, sweatybands (headbands) and compression socks. So now there’s no excuse to not look good while you’re out for your morning jog!

If you’re lucky enough to live in California, you can visit the Running Skirts store in Encinitas. Otherwise, you can catch up with the ladies of Running Skirts at running expos throughout North America. You can also order these products easily online or over the phone.

One of the things I absolutely admire about this company is that the duo who owns it, Christy & Cindy, actually know what they’re talking about. They are hard-core runners themselves and wear every single product that they carry…no false advertising with this team. If they don’t like it, they won’t sell it to you!

Happy shopping and happy running!
