Lara Stone for Vogue Japan
The image: Vogue Japan’s November 2011 cover
The model: Print sensation Lara Stone
The set & styling: Studio shot of our Lara in a lot of yellowy goodness from Givenchy’s fall/winter 2011 collection
The photographer: TBC
The final word: Given that we were just saying yesterday what a great colour that canary yellow is for (f)all seasons, we couldn’t be happier with this feature. Too bad Lara’s face spent too much time in the Photoshop lab being processed and now looks like a bit of a scary manface. (We had to do a double-take to recognize her in this pic and we even know the girl. Seriously now.)
Jawline aside, we love the Givenchy collection even though this shot would easily slip on an April cover. But why not go out with a bang: we’ve got four months of burgundy, camel and grey coming up. Other than cobs of corn and turning birch leaves, this time of the year brings the other side of the colour wheel.
So hello, yellow: we’ll take it sunny side up.

Yellow – such a hot, hot colour this fall!
And I love it as a Valentino jacket!
