William Rast

William Rast is the latest designer brand to hit Target. The line launched online and in stores yesterday and reviews have been all-around positive. Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala, the duo behind William Rast, describe this line as biker bohemia and most of the collection is under $50.

I’m skeptical. I don’t know how you can go from selling $250 jeans to selling $50 jeans without a huge compromise in either style or quality. I’m guessing these are stock items from the same place the Gap gets their clothing with a William Rast label stuck on them. I’m wondering if JT would wear his own Target clothing. I know I wouldn’t.

      Thanks for your comment Mac!
I can’t say that I’m overly impressed with the collection. I’d like to see it in person before I make a final call though. Too bad there’s no Target up here in Canada. Some of the clothing just looks a bit too stiff for my liking.

I think the men’s line is waaaay more practical for everyday wear than the women’s. I’m definitely not sold on this one.

I have to say, I agree with the other commentors. The men’s line is alright but I don’t see anything in the women’s that I would wear. Those icky brown jackets! The jean shirt with the bedazzled pocket flaps! Perhaps I’m just not hip enough for this one.

I went in person and wasn’t impressed with the woman’s line. I actually did a review for it if you would like to view. http://gorjessfashionforless.blogspot.com/2010/12/william-rast-for-target.html
