The Bachelor Recap: All for Charity

January 12, 2011

Never a dull moment. The second episode of this season's The Bachelor heats up as the ladies wage war against each other.

I always love that one episode in The Bachelor series when the bachelor takes a group of the bachelorettes on a  “group date” that revolves around a charity.

I especially love it when the girls ooh and aww at how Brad must be such a great guy to have come up with such a wonderful idea!  And then I really love it when the girls have melt downs while trying to be all “dedicated” to the cause while hissing at each other behind their backs.

Of course the charity plot thickens with the girls having to do a sexy commercial with Brad, taking turns at kissing him in front of the others. How original for a Bachelor/Bachelorette scene (Ali did the same, remember?).

Wacko alert!!

Michelle, the hair dresser is displaying some true Michelle (season 14) crazy tendencies. Remember her? The one who insisted that Jake kiss her, only for it to go down in history as the most awkward bachelor kiss ever?

Princess Michelle gets her wish and a birthday cake too

“You have walls.  I feel like I need to dissect you.”

Classic. Michelle has already interrupted Brad’s scene that he is filming (for charity remember) for an ad to kiss him; however then storms off in a hissy fit because he kisses the other girls, on HER 30th birthday of all days! The NERVE! It will be interesting to see how long she lasts.

Do you kiss on the first date? The Bachelor kissses everyone. Deep.

I suppose I should understand this by now, but I am still baffled by the girls who are so heart-broken about leaving home to come do this – “I  gave everything up, I left my child…” Come on! Did these girls ever go to summer camp??  Believe me…if I was being taken away on free trips to beautiful destinations…I wouldn’t care what I left behind!

This one left her daughter home. The only other detail she's waited on outing is her tragic story of losing her former mate. How will Brad react? And is she ready for love again? We ponder these questions.

But on to the cocktail party – the tears!  the heartache!  the drama!

Not everyone is having fun playing kissy-face.

And then Ali and Roberto! Of course they would know how to help Brad discover who was there for the right reasons and who wasn’t!

Roberto and Ali catching that 15 minute fame ride

Ali and Roberto: the happy couple in all of their forgotten fame…it is appropriate that they show up on the Bachelor to remind us all that they still exist.  I can’t help but feel sorry for them. It’s like idol..after the final episode they might appear in an Us Weekly or People for a few weeks, but then they just disappear…until they break up and make headlines again.

Guess who's back? Ali and Roberto the former baseball somebody. Nice dress, though.

There was some drama to wrap up the show, but Brad was smart about it and had them kicked off.  Looks like Melissa will have to go back to her boss and beg for that job back – not so smart to quit that fast…

So sad: drama in the house = outta here.

So, nasty girls are gone, crazy girl is still there alongside fangs and someone has a breakdown…can’t wait for next week!!

“I feel like I need to dissect you.” Ha ha ha. Where do people come up with these things?

I don’t know- it’s all this mind-game playing, which is so entertaining to watch & learn. Seriously- I love this show for the social experiment and people-watching lessons in body language.

The Bachelor show makes me a better person. Imagine that?! :)
