Oxxford Clothes’ handmade suits

February 8, 2011

Oxxford Clothes‘ handmade suits- the last handmade suits in the United States.

This video was passed along by my good friend Stephen who has unfailingly good taste.

Other men who value quality in all things: the Oxxford Clothes’ client list. Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Walt Disney and Joe DiMaggio to name but a few, without mentioning today’s modern men of repute.

The Oxxford Clothes' workshop in Chicago

Oxxford Clothes: “When there’s a better way to make a suit, we’ll change.”

Here’s to doing it the best way, the way it’s always been done, until a better way is invented.

I’m just a big fan of a well-tailored suit…for men and women. Good design and gorgeous fabric is a recipe for success! I enjoyed reading the “Anatomy of a Suit” section on the Oxxford site. So much work and thought goes into each piece of clothing. Thanks for showcasing this company today Johanne.

Thanks, Jordana, I’m happy you approve. How could you not? It’s just amazing work. The number of stitches into the making of a suit is unbelievable! Just when you think we’ve all abandoned hand work (except for Haute Couture) we get Oxxford Clothes and Corter Leather. What a wonderful week it’s been!
