Sac du jour

April 21, 2011

The multi-coloured ethnic beaded clutch at Aldo is a sensational piece that gets you out of those pesky matchy-matchy situations. Plus it's on-trend with the boho/tribal chic happening this spring. $50 at Aldo

Beads and the tribal thing are going to be all over the place this spring, including the concrete jungle we call home. Get ready for some beady good times.

Okay, that’s all the bead talk we’ve got for today. Promise.

Today’s Sac du jour sends us deep into psychedelic colour joy as if we were being slowly paddled along an Amazonian canal as birds of paradise and actual birds (probably parrots) hang on the trees and pause for our panoramic lens. What we mean to say is that we’re kind of into this multi-coloured beaded clutch available at Aldo for an easy $50.

Yeah, we feel the same way about spending anything over twenty bucks at Aldo, but let’s be reasonable about this: we don’t need an A+ in colour theory to know how many outfits we’ll be able to match this clutch, and then some. For the doubters: tribal is here to stay- Zac Posen went there not long ago and so did Matthew Williamson, who we suspect will never truly cool his jungle fever and we love him for it.

We’re heading into the bush with this one, birds, beads, boys and all.

Believe it or not I think I’d actually wear this! With an all black (or all white) outfit – how great, right?

I think it’s such a versatile piece- the beads are cute and the pattern is great. It will never go out of style, it’s one of those quirky pieces that I think we’d all love to have.

It would definitely look fab with a black or white outfit! For sure.
