- The SoulMates heel protectors come in a variety of colours, including transparent and a nifty glow-in-the-dark version. Do we think this is cool? We’re not sure. Clear SoulMates, $9.95
We can’t seem to decide what we think about this little thing called SoulMates. The plastic slip-ons are new stiletto solutions for tricky if not shoe-damaging damagingwalking surfaces.
Granted, as nerdy and plastic-y the Soul Mates are to the clean lines of a pointy heel, we didn’t think it was so fun to be perforating the green at our friends’ garden summer wedding. Not to mention the post-event cleanup of dirty heels.
While these puppies seem to make sense for such unpleasant situations as grass, rocks, and grates, we just can’t really understand the glow-in-the-dark SoulMates option: why bring attention to the ladies’ equivalent of the pocket protector?
Given how much we love our heels, at this point we’re willing to admit considering wearing them in special circumstances- only. Yeah, we’re heel snobs, but you probably knew that already.
Brides & Grooms: we'll happily treck out of doorsfor your outdoor wedding but don't you think the sensible thing to do is offer SoulMates to your female guests-?
Yeah, walking on rocks = not so fun. SoulMates to the rescue.
Not feeling it.
Despite their practicality, the SoulMates look.. bizarre. And besides, if we don't ruin our shoes, how can we legitimize buying new pairs?
