DSquared2 on the Milanese runway

September 27, 2011

DSquared2 calls this the hippy look for their 2012 spring RTW collection; we call it our everyday life. MAC Cosmetic face chart for the label’s show at Milan Fashion Week September 26, 2011.

Yesterday we saw the DSquared2 duo’s vision for spring 2012 in layers of hippy mixed with glitz and fuzz on the runway at Milan Fashion Week. The beauty looks are in the spirit of “Festival girls who have been bonking in the tents in between acts.” Hm…

Anyway, bonking aside, we thought it would be fun to show the MAC Cosmetics face charts mapping the looks along with actual photographs from yesterday’s strut.

Needless to say that if one of us here was going through a hippy phase, this entire show would be, um, right up her alley.

Love the casual and ecclectic style of the collection! :-) Jen xoxo http://mystylisticlife.wordpress.com

Hippy, glam rock & rock – I don’t see a whole lot of differences between the looks. Is it just me? I can’t pull of the layers like these models can but the looks look very cool on the runway!

I love the collection, I love the looks and I do my best to rock layers. I find vesting it is an easy solution for layering, capes that button up down the front, and fringes also pretend to add a layer. Sometimes I add a tank underneath a shirt as a way to layer- it works.
