Summer Trend: Animal Prints at Anthropologie

May 28, 2012

I’ve been on an Anthropologie kick lately. Last week I was thinking about their amazing selection of eclectic knobs. More specifically, I was wondering about how many knobs people actually buy and for what purpose (no final answers yet). Today I’m trying to decide if I like Anthro’s selection of animal print pieces. They look kind of sweet but I’m not so sure I would really feel comfortable walking around town with a bird – or donkey? – print covering my body.

Swallow Dive Halter, $88, Anthropologie

Scattered Wing Romper, $198, Anthropologie

Hummingbird Poplin Skirt, $98, Anthropologie

Donkey Silk Shift, $188, Anthropologie

High Low Gallop Top, $58, Anthropologie

I definitely have to admit that these pieces are not my style but I guess I could see how they could be appealing to some people. What do you think? Do you flock to these animal prints?

I like them especially when they become a kind of abstract and repetitive graphic print, but I must say that the more unusual, the better. So I’m all over that donkey- I’d wear it!
