Chloe Sevigny for Out Magazine

July 12, 2012

Chloe Sevigny is downright hot as a boxer on Out magazine’s cover. Some gals just wouldn’t look the part, but we’re believers- at least for a beginner’s boxing class

The shoot: A fashion Olympics-themed cover and editorial pages of Out Magazine‘s August issue

The model: Actress Chloe Sevigny, currently working on a new Brit television series, Hit & Miss, in which she plays a transsexual hit man

The garb: Calvin Klein undies and boxing gear on the cover and various ready-to-wear within the mag

The photographer: Terry Richardson

The final word: In the fickle world of babes and beauties, you wouldn’t expect to hear Chloe Sevigny’s name right off the bat. But since Million Dollar Baby was such an inspirational hit and made us covet Hilary Swank’s fit figure, and not to mention recent years’ boxing craze at every local gym, are we really surprised to see more boxing mixed with fashion? No.

But more than that, Sevigny is actually a great choice for the Out cover; she does have a certain Andrej Pejic je ne sais quoi about her, which she’s worked to her advantage in her acting career taking on strong female roles:

“Hollywood does not know what to do with me,” Sevigny says. “They do not like me. That’s why I end up in these seemingly difficult movies. That’s what is offered to me, and I need to make a living.”

Which is likely why she is the face of Miu Miu’s fall 2012 campaign:

Chloe Sevigny is Miu Miu’s fall 2012 ad gal. We’re unfortunately not loving the makeup, styling or set for this one.

At 37 years old, she’s looking really fantastic and this cover shot is perfect for her and the mag, especially given her recent television series which debuted July 11 of DirecTV.

Read her Out mag interview and you’ll agree that this gal’s the real deal. She’s cool, honest and you’d want her as a friend. Well, I do.
