It’s so great to be part of Fashion in Motion. When I’m not reading about fashion, I’m thinking about it, talking about it, writing about it, and brainstorming ideas for my next fabulous outfit. My favourite outfits usually consist of some sort of combination of red, black, white, or brown. Yes, it’s true. I’m totally focused on these four colours at the moment. Call me crazy. When it’s time to take a break from fashion, I’m all about art, design, and architecture. I love buildings and lucky for me (and you) there are some great structures out there in the world. Oh, and I also read all sorts of stuff, try to cook, dabble in yoga, run, paint, and travel. Yeah. Travel. As often as possible. I’ll hop on a plane the minute I get the chance ( or the train for that matter- train travel is great.) So there you go- now you know a little bit more about me. I look forward to posting and am even more interested in reading your comments! Cheers, Jordana.

P.S. I’m also currently working on my PhD. Who says geeks can’t be obsessed with fashion?

I love perfume.  You could say, I’m a bit of a junkie. I get obsessed with a scent and have to smell it, read about it and feel generally compulsive until I do. I don’t know a ton about fragrance but the more I learn the more I want to know.

I’m the kind of weirdo that will stop a person on the street and ask what they are wearing. Or try my hand at guessing. I think some people might find that creepy.   But I call it research.  Its the reason I ended up buying Coco Mademoiselle – a fragrance I would have thought would be way too girly for me.  I perfume perved on enough people that it convinced me to buy the damn scent.  Today it’s a staple in my perfume wardrobe.

As a child, I was often found in supermarkets making my own commercials with cereal boxes or fabric softener. So, it came as no surprise when I was honoured with the “Drama Queen” title in the family.

I love film, theatre, and anything HOLLYWOOD. The Oscars are my SuperBowl and, yes, I am one of those people holed up in my house watching all the pre-shows with Seacrest, Perez and E!

I am so excited to be part of Fashion in Motion by bringing to you my weekly gossip from Tinseltown.

Yours,

Rachel

I think makeup- like so much else in life- is both a means to an end and an end in itself.

It’s a means to an end when you’re getting ready for that interview for the job you really really want, for that first date with that guy you really really like, or the wedding anniversary renewal of vows that you have dreamed of your whole life… and it’s an end in itself on that miserable wet sad morning when nothing else in your life is going right but that perfect shade of pinky-peachy-red on your lips actually makes things just a tad better.

The power of makeup to transform the look, the feel, the moment (even momentarily) is interesting to me and I hope that it is interesting to you. That’s why I am very excited about being here at Fashion in Motion in very good company and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on all things makeup- and all things beautiful!

Yours with (a) blush on,

Marina

So yeah… I’m Sasha… the new guy. These bio things are always weird in that you don’t really know whether to write them in the 3rd or 1st person.

I like bananas or Sasha went to French camp when he was 13. Speaking of which, what does it mean to write a bio in the 2nd person…

This stuff is so complicated.

In all seriousness, my appreciation for fashion and art comes from my desire to find different ways to express myself and represent my views on the world. I’m horribly selective when it comes to what I choose for myself but I like to think that I can appreciate other people’s perspectives and expressions when it comes to this stuff.

Aside from the art and fashion stuff I love awkward moments, song lyrics, over-intellectualizing stuff and mixing worlds that normally have no business being together.

Oh yeah… and helmets are the hottest trend for 2010.
